Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Ann Arbor is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Ann Arbor follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I purchased one $4 cookie, used Apple Pay which automatically added a $1.50 tip, and there was no way to politely back out of it. If they need to charge $5.50 for a cookie, then they should just charge that price. Automatically Adding a 37% tip is unexceptionable. I would also like to add the cookie was stale. Very disappointing.

Went in twice now, both times had very rude service from the barista. Itβs close to my house so I was hoping the first time was just a bad day, but no, she will not greet you, is rude about allergy questions, and rushes you to order and leave as fast as possible. The coffee tastes burnt and watered down, and everything being β+$1β including ice, is a bit ridiculous. Ended up spending $7 on a cup of iced oat milk with no flavoring, because one pump of syrup $1. As someone who works in customer service, and enjoys it, itβs definitely not for everyone.

Nothing seasonal, or special. Purchased a 16oz oat milk cappuccino that was half full for $7 and a cherry pastry with no cherries for $4. No apology given or any accommodations offered. We were told that thatβs just how itβs made. Terrible service and way overpriced. Never going back!

I truly love this place! My mom lives in Brazil, and every time she comes to visit me, we make a stop here to grab some goodies. Iβm easy to please when it comes to food, but I really appreciate the menu variety and the inclusion of gluten-free and vegan options. The atmosphere is the highlight for meβ¦ whether outside or inside, it just feels like a fun grandmaβs house, a cozy place to get treats and leave feeling happy.

Came in with high hopes, even ordered with the same high hopes. Took a bite of the chocolate/raspberry cake and could barely swallow it. I love sweets and will eat a baked good even if it isnβt my favorite, but this just had such terrible flavor Iβm not even sure what it was. It didnβt taste like chocolate or raspberry. It was $5 for the slice I got, after having that, Iβm glad I didnβt spend $14 on the chocolate mouse cake. Yikes. They have a lot of gluten free baked goods, which I donβt need or care for, but maybe thatβs their thing here. I asked if it was gluten free and was told no, it wasnβt, but icky, it wasnβt good. My son got ice cream and he said it was alright. The woman helping us was very nice and helpful.
